WKAR, celebrating a century of public media service from Michigan State University, invites candidates for the leadership position of General Manager.

WKAR’s broadcast stations include the region’s PBS, NPR, and classical music stations. Building on a strong University relationship, a motivated team, and an innovative culture, the General Manager will have the responsibility for the leadership, management, and strategic initiatives of WKAR. Additionally, the General Manager will lead in the fulfillment of WKAR’s mission and vision through quality programs, outreach, and service.

A Bachelor’s Degree is required, along with a minimum of seven years of relevant senior management leadership experience in media, nonprofit, technology, business, or education fields.
