Chief Development Officer, Oregon Network

The Opportunity:
Bryant Group is partnering with PeaceHealth to recruit for the role of Chief Development Officer, Oregon Network (CDO).

The Chief Development Officer (CDO) for the Oregon Network reports to the System Vice President/Chief Development Officer, working closely with the Oregon Network Chief Executive and the Oregon foundation boards. The CDO is the primary senior fundraising professional in the network. The CDO’s primary role is to align fundraising strategy with hospital and system initiatives, providing leadership to generate significant transformational financial support for healthcare initiatives of the network. The successful candidate will lead core programs including capital campaigns and major gift fundraising.

Duties/Responsibilities:
PeaceHealth is searching for an individual that embraces its healthcare mission and core values and one that demonstrates accomplished implementation of strategic goals matched with transformational philanthropy. The individual will lead and work closely with a team of professionals to achieve the network’s fundraising goals and objectives, while simultaneously building and maintaining strong collaborative relationships with foundation boards, clinicians, and hospital leadership creating a culture of philanthropy throughout the network.

The successful candidate will be a visionary, strategic, leader who demonstrates the ability to build authentic, meaningful relationships with donors and prospects, board members, administrators, volunteers, physicians, and foundation caregivers. This position calls for an outward-facing and inspirational leader who truly values people and aligns with the PeaceHealth mission. The CDO is a team leader who partners well with local stakeholders throughout the network and communities where PeaceHealth delivers award-winning programs and services. The successful candidate is an accomplished fundraising professional, connecting the heart of an organization to the passions of supporters and the interests of the local communities served by the network.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of fundraising experience.
  • Extensive experience working in partnership with foundation boards.
  • Proven record of successfully increasing a fundraising organization’s performance.

Preferred:

  • Certification as a Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE).
