The Shakespeare Theatre Company, a leading non-profit theatre located in Washington, D.C. led by internationally acclaimed Artistic Director Simon Godwin, seeks an experienced Director of Corporate Relations to join a successful and ambitious Development team. Under the supervision of the Senior Director of Development, the Director develops strategy and solicits both cash and in-kind corporate support for productions, major fundraisers (2-3/year), education and community programs. The position has primary fundraising responsibility for annual corporate events, which currently include Will on the Hill and Mock Trial, sponsor relationships and benefits delivery, and corporate in-kind and trade gifts. Working within a department of nine full-time staff, the Director supervises the Development Events Manager. This is a full-time position with excellent benefits and an annual salary of $72,000 - $76,000.

The ideal candidate brings five or more years of progressive fundraising experience with demonstrated success in raising five and six-figure gifts, special events management and staff supervision. A Master’s degree in business, arts administration or equivalent professional experience preferred; experience with DC-area corporate fundraising and Tessitura database a plus.
