The Senior Director of Institutional Giving is a new position for PPMM Development, designed to take our fundraising and development efforts with their key funder audience to the next level. Reporting directly to the Chief Development Officer, the right candidate is a seasoned fundraising and non-profit professional ready to take on leadership at the country’s largest Planned Parenthood affiliate at a critical time for reproductive health and rights. Learn more and apply here 

As part of this team of amazing, mission-driven people, you will:

  • Oversee an Institutional Giving portfolio totaling approximately $3 – 4 million in annual revenue, with expectations for rapid growth.
  • Lead cultivation, stewardship, solicitation, and prospecting of Institutional Giving funders and donors internally and externally, including supporting the CDO and CEO’s portfolios as appropriate.
  • Oversee PPMM’s centralized grants administration function, including collaborating with senior leaders in Finance, Compliance, Patient Services, Education, and more by effectively forecasting, vetting, tracking, monitoring, and reporting grant revenue and expenditures as required.
  • Join a team that is highly effective, motivated, and collaborative.
  • Play a very important role internally at PPMM, connecting key stakeholders across a large organization by overseeing a complex grants administration program.
  • Partner to the Chief Development Officer, sharing expertise and co-designing systems and processes to effectively manage the work and staff.

 

The right person for this role is:

  • A minimum of seven years of Institutional Giving or fundraising leadership, including soliciting and cultivating large institutional donors, grant writing, and directing high-performing personnel
  • Superior grants administration capabilities, including financial and programmatic budgeting, tracking, monitoring, and reporting across multiple entities and departments
  • A builder, a problem-solver and a great communicator. They will have the opportunity to build and shape their own team, which includes two positions that will report to them, and manage a substantial revenue budget.
  • An ambassador, connecting with institutional donors and funders across a vast funding territory.
  • Passionate about the Planned Parenthood Mar Monte mission and champion PPMM’s programs to a diverse set of audiences.
