ICA, non-profit investment fund and accelerator, is seeking a Part-time Accelerator Program Associate to help ICA on its mission of closing the racial and gender wealth gaps by ensuring the administrative and operational execution of ICA’s programmatic offering across the 9 county Bay Area. Ultimately, this role is responsible for supporting ICA’s program managers to reach and support dynamic and high potential businesses.

On average, people of color, especially women of color, start businesses at a higher rate — but are constrained by structural inequities and often overlooked by mainstream funders. Through our coaching, connections, and capital we partner with, mentor, and invest in underestimated Bay Area entrepreneurs to accelerate great businesses and build an economy that works for all.

This opportunity will put you front and center of our growing organization. You will have the opportunity to take our work to the next level in a deeply rewarding environment because:

  • We partner intensely with our entrepreneurs over years and see the impact of our work daily when we buy their products, watch them create new jobs, and grow the local economy.
  • We’re proving there is a better way to structure capital and support racial equity in small businesses through our unique venture capital/equity model of financing.
  • We act like a fast-paced lean startup.

Reporting directly to the Chief Program Officer you will manage the day-to-day administrative and operational execution of all programmatic offerings and pipeline development. You will work hand-in-hand with program managers to ensure the successful execution of all programming offered by ICA that will increase the impact ICA and the companies we support have on local communities.

  • Shepherd program applications and participants by managing ICA’s online program management software by:
    • Setting up and managing all application workflows
    • Setting up and sending all application status communications
    • Setting up and sending all relevant pre-program communications
    • Setting up and sending all pre and post workshop communications
    • Setting up and distributing relevant reports to internal stakeholders
    • Troubleshooting and supporting staff and program participants
  • Provide a seamless virtual and in-person programming experience by managing ICA’s program delivery by:
    • Creating and updating Zoom meeting invites
    • Providing technical support, as needed to internal team and external facilitators
    • Coordinate all in person workshops and end of program culminations
  • Support workshop facilitators by coordinating:
    • Information flow and content relevant to each workshop before, during, and after
    • All relevant login information to ensure smooth login and day of technical support
  • Coordinate with other internal teams to:
    • Inform of application opening and closing dates
    • Suggest content for driving applications for ICA’s programs
    • Provide all necessary information on companies participating in each cohort for marketing announcements and impact reporting metrics

  • Lead small business research to identify best fitting companies for ICA’s programs and investment pipelines for upcoming applications cycles
  • Update and manage internal programs pipeline with the status of each contact, target program, and target program date, adding updated information to ICA’s Salesforce database

This position is hybrid, splitting time between our Oakland, CA office and working from home and will require some travel in the San Francisco Bay Area region.

  • You are an effective verbal and written communicator.
  • You enjoy tactically executing and helping others' visions become a reality.

  • You have the ability to learn new processes and concepts and put them into action right away.
  • You thrive in a culture that prioritizes diversity, and values honesty, integrity, and authenticity.

  • You have some work experience; prior experience at an incubator, accelerator, in non-profit programming, a fast paced business environment, and/or project management is preferred.
