The Major Gifts Officer for Northland College will work directly with the President of the College to develop, implement, and maintain program strategies to cultivate, solicit, and steward financial support from alumni, friends, and parents of Northland College, using a multiplatform approach which includes direct mail, online giving, phonathon, and major gift cultivation. The Major Gifts Officer will solicit for the annual unrestricted fund, as well as specific campaigns and initiatives developed in partnership with the Advancement and Marketing teams to achieve targeted fundraising goals. The Major Gifts Officer will have the opportunity to travel up to 30% of the time in conjunction with fundraising efforts. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, knowledge and experience with fundraising best practices and volunteer management strategies, skill in soliciting personal gifts, and skill in collecting and analyzing complex data.
