Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated is seeking to fill the position of Director of Corporate Meeting and Conference Planning. This position will work seamlessly to market and manage the Corporate Convention business of the organization. Increase and maximize ROI of the organization’s meeting and convention business through its relationships with vendors. Strive to be ahead of the curve, to consistently raise the bar and set new standards when it comes to providing our members with the best possible experience. Works closely with the Corporate Leadership and Board of Directors to deliver and execute conventions and conferences.

The successful candidate will develop an ROI Strategy for Conventions and Conferences with the International President/CEO, Executive Director, CFO and Board of Directors.

He/She will maintain detailed knowledge of all organizational events to develop an improved international brand that can be implemented at the international, national, regional, and local levels.

Must be able to work under pressure and at times manage a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion. Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, communications, business, hotel, or hospitality management; MBA Marketing or CMP preferred 

Marketing and project planning/management in large non-profits, also a plus.
