At the Alumni Association we are the heart of the university, inspiring lifelong connections with a global network of Maryland alumni. In an effort to achieve this vision, we connect, cultivate and channel the power of alumni to enrich themselves and advance the university through membership, event engagement, and volunteerism.   The Alumni Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for executing marketing strategies for the Alumni Engagement and Outreach team, as well as administrative duties that support the overarching objectives of the team. This includes the management of activities related to email marketing (creation, editing and evaluation), social media (strategy, content creation and evaluation), website content updates and the Alumni Blog. The Coordinator will collaborate with all Alumni Association teams, key volunteers and the Alumni Marketing team in the Office of Marketing and Communications to execute marketing strategies designed to engage 400,000+ alumni with their alma mater.   They will analyze communication strategies and data to make recommendations on the most effective methods for outreach to engage constituents, thus improving communication efforts in order to increase attendance at events and engagement with the Alumni Association.

Bachelor’s Degree Required.

Experience:
Minimum of 3 years experience working in alumni relations, marketing and communications, social media, higher education, data analysis, and/or administrative capacity.

  Self-starter with a genuine interest in contributing to a team who is eager to propose new tools and innovations to achieve the mission of the organization.   Good understanding of and appreciation for the values of a public higher education institution and ability to articulate them to internal and external constituencies.
