Job Summary

We are seeking a proven pro! If you have a track record of attracting new high-dollar donors, artfully stewarding existing donors toward multi-year and legacy gifts, AND a passion for a mission that focuses on giving foster youth, an under-resourced population, the tools, coaching, and foundation to succeed in higher education and/or the profession of their choice, we’d like to hear from you.

With a nearly 20-year history of helping foster youth thrive through high school and post-secondary degree programs, we are youth-centered and the youth voice of our scholars and alumni is an essential part of all programs, events, and endeavors.  Our Board of Directors recently approved an exciting new three-year Strategic Plan which continues to build on our proven track record and provides opportunities for us to serve even more youth in the future.

The Major Gifts Officer will report to VP of Development and will be part of an Institutional Advancement team of five with a FY23 revenue goal of $3M+. We are seeking someone with a natural ability to create connections and inspire action for Pivotal’s programs. The Major Gifts Officer must be highly organized, able to manage quick or shifting deadlines with grace, and have experience with systems and software to track and cultivate donors. Bonus points if you are already proficient on Salesforce.

Our Major Gifts Officer will manage a portfolio of more than 25 individual and family foundations with the capacity and affinity for contributing more than $1.5 million a year.  The expectation is to retain and upsell existing donors, recover lapsed donors, and attract new donors.
