Princeton AlumniCorps seeks an entrepreneurial and relationship-driven Director of Development to guide fundraising strategy and implementation for our organization. The Director of Development will supervise the Graphic Design and Communications Coordinator, who is responsible for all external communications related to website, social media, print, and email campaigns. The Director of Development will leverage all forms of communication to grow the AlumniCorps profile, build on existing fundraising infrastructure, and implement new donor engagement strategies that respond to a changing development environment.
The Director of Development will report to the Executive Director and work in close partnership with Board leadership, maintaining high visibility and strong relationships with a diverse and geographically dispersed network of donors.
The Director of Development will:

Develop and implement comprehensive
fundraising strategies in collaboration with the Executive Director
to support and grow a $1M annual fund
Supervise the Graphic Design and
Communications Coordinator to support all external communications
related to cultivation and organizational messaging
Prospect, cultivate, solicit, thank,
and steward donors and funders across the donor life cycle
Support and engage teams of
fundraising volunteers, including the Development Steering
Committee, Class of 1955 Committee, and 90’s Alumni Committee
Craft strategies focused on growing
revenue from the following constituency groups: program alumni,
Civically Minded Tigers, institutional giving, and earned-income
partnerships
Steward and explore fund development
strategies focused on multi-year giving, major gifts, and planned
giving
Work closely with volunteers and
other members of the team to organize virtual, local, and national
cultivation and fundraising events
Create progress reports for the Board
and volunteer committees to track individual giving and
solicitation
Collaborate with the Logistics and
Development Manager to ensure the Salesforce database, reports, and
affiliated processes align with strategic development
priorities
Represent Princeton AlumniCorps and
the mission throughout the community, both virtually and in-person,
to elevate brand-awareness
Work with the Finance Committee,
Executive Director, Logistics and Development Manager, and
accountant on audits and reconciliations as needed
Strong applicants will:
Bring 4 - 6 years of professional fundraising experience, preferably in such a way that supports a complex and evolving development operation

Demonstrate success in securing and
stewarding philanthropic gifts from individuals and
foundations/corporations
Serve as a relationship-builder who
develops and maintains strong, collaborative working relationships
with a diverse group of stakeholders
Demonstrate alignment with
AlumniCorps’ mission and an excitement to share our story with
varied audiences
Commit to centering equity,
diversity, and inclusion in their work and actively contribute to
co-creating an anti-oppressive culture
Demonstrate a commitment to inclusive
leadership and regularly include others in decision-making
processes
Be comfortable and familiar with
using donor database software to drive fundraising decisions and
strategy
Posses strong written and oral
communication skills, including the ability to create impact
stories and presentations
Be a person of unimpeachable
integrity dedicated to building and sustaining the trust of all
AlumniCorps stakeholders
