Dartmouth seeks a Senior Managing Director to join the Dartmouth College Fund (DCF) office. The primary responsibilities for this position include engaging and educating alumni of all generations to provide philanthropic support through restricted and unrestricted gifts in support of institutional priorities set by the Board of Trustees. The Senior Managing Director will be responsible for the development and execution of a comprehensive strategy for the Centennial Circle of Dartmouth Alumnae, a gift club for women who give $100k through the DCF which currently has more than 300 members and is designed to raise $8M+ annually. The Senior Managing Director will also recruit, train, and motivate high-level volunteer teams and staff to execute on strategies to achieve fundraising goals. In addition, you will be responsible for raising annual funds personally and through alumni volunteers from a portfolio of 3 classes. This includes goal setting, strategic planning, and responsibility for cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities.



Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of seven years of experience in a complex college or university development operation with a proven track record of successful fundraising of gifts at the six-figure level and management of high-level volunteers. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated presentation abilities. Strong interpersonal, negotiating, and listening skills is essential. In addition, the successful candidate will be a self-motivated and proactive strategic thinker with strong project management skills. Previous supervisory and comprehensive campaign experience preferred.
