Fordham University seeks an ambitious, seasoned, and collaborative Director of Development, Gift Planning (Director). The successful candidate will serve as a frontline fundraiser with responsibility for creating and managing portfolio of 100 to 150 major and planned giving donors and prospects, comprised of alumni of the University, parents, and friends. The candidate will create and implement strategies to effectively identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward bequest intentions, planned gifts, major gifts, blended gifts, and leadership annual gifts.

 

The Director will lead face-to-face solicitation for a portfolio with a gift range of six to seven figures and partner with Fordham’s Executive Director of Gift Planning to cultivate and solicit principal gifts prospects and donors. S/he will assist major gift officers needing gift planning expertise to close major gifts and collaborate with gift planning colleagues to provide regular estate plan training to leadership annual fund and major gift officers. The ideal candidate will achieve the Office of Development and University Relations (DAUR)’s ambitious expectations for this role, which include annual goals for face-to-face solicitation and outright of planned giving proposals above $100,000.

 

In addition, Fordham seeks a seasoned, collaborative, and successful planned giving officer to join the Planned Giving office as Senior Associate Director of Development, Gift Planning Communications and Administration (Senior Associate Director). The Senior Associate Director will manage day-to-day operations for the University’s gift planning program, including administration, communications, and marketing.
