The Development Coordinator, Corporate Partnerships will support the Sr. Director of Corporate Partnerships and her team as well as the Sr. Director, Research and Innovation.
- Support the corporate partnerships team in sponsorship tracking and benefit delivery for the Race for Every Child, The Children’s Ball and the White Hat Gala events.
- Work with the Sr. Director of Research and Innovation on all aspects of cultivating, engaging and stewarding corporate donors and supporting all aspects of fundraising for the Children’s National Research and Innovation Campus.
- Manage the workplace giving programs such as the Combined Federal Campaign and state campaigns to reach the annual fundraising goal.
Responsible for planning, coordinating and executing fundraising campaigns, events, promotions that promote Children's National and its subsidiaries. Work within the youth fundraising program managing high school dance marathons and small university dance marathon. Raise funds and maintain existing relationships with corporate sponsors and organizations. Maintain relationships with national sponsors on a local level. Attend related events, site visits to retail sponsors, including presentations to sponsors on a regular basis. Other duties as assigned related to Children's National, and corporate and community giving.
Qualifications Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree Business, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or related field (Required)
Minimum Work Experience
2 years Related experience (Required)
Required Skills/Knowledge
Goal oriented, strong organizational skills, communications and interpersonal skills necessary.
Needs to have stamina, be flexible, courteous, patient, positive and be an enthusiastic team player.
Should be able to adapt easily to constantly changing situations, be creative and able to produce prompt and effective results.
Vehicle is necessary to carry out job assignments.
Must be available some evenings and weekends to attend and staff events.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher and Powerpoint required; Proficiency in Raisers Edge, Adobe Creative Suite, and Donor Drive preferred.
Functional Accountabilities
Development
- Independently manage cultivation and stewardship activities for a fundraising portfolio generating $500,000 annually, including Dance Marathons, Radiothons and national corporate partners through the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals program.
- Support team operations through critical non-fundraising projects, including annual kickoff rally, social media, patient ambassador engagement, vendor/supply management, and other projects as needed.
- Seek to stay abreast of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals campaigns and best practices for specific sponsors through participation in monthly national Program Director calls, annual conferences, and communication with national Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals staff
- Collaborate with Director and team members to develop strategies to improve fundraising, engagement and stewardship for individual partners and programs, as well as the program as a whole.
