Feeding Westchester is at an exciting moment in its history. During the pandemic, the organization doubled the scale of its impact and mission. Looking forward, the organization has created three-year Strategic Plan to further enhance and expand the organization’s impactful work while collaborating with community partners to affect transformational change.

Feeding Westchester seeks a mission-driven, energetic, and accomplished Vice President, Development (Vice President). As a key member of the senior leadership team, the Vice President will design and execute a fundraising plan, represent Feeding Westchester in the community, and lead a dynamic fundraising team to achieve aggressive fundraising goals in an environment where the prospective donor constituency is not immediately obvious.

The Vice President will lead a comprehensive development office with inspired mentorship, empathy, and relatability. S/he will have a proven track record of providing strategic direction for a comprehensive office, including principal and major gifts, corporate and foundation giving, planned giving, development operations, and special events, resulting in marked improvement in execution and significant revenue growth.

The successful candidate will create best practices for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major gifts, foundation, and corporate prospects and donors. The Vice President will carry a portfolio of prospects and donors and have a proven track record of closing significant and transformational gifts.

The candidate will serve as the public face and ambassador of Feeding Westchester to the philanthropic community. The successful candidate will develop strong, compelling cases for support. S/he will strategically engage the President & CEO and Board of Directors in public outreach and fundraising activities, providing meaningful engagement opportunities and effective support.

The Vice President will report to the President & CEO, serve on Feeding Westchester’s Senior Leadership Team, and lead a team of five direct reports with oversight of a team of 16.
