WHAT WE NEED
The Prospect Manager & Researcher will be responsible for both
prospect management and prospect research for Franciscan Health
Foundation. Franciscan Health Foundation exists to support
the programs and services of Franciscan Alliance, Inc. We are
dedicated to addressing the ever-growing healthcare needs of our
communities and supporting patient needs at our not-for-profit
hospitals, outpatient facilities and community-based programs
throughout central, western, and northern Indiana and south
suburban Chicago.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
-
Assist in building the fundraising team’s capabilities through current and prospective donors and the strategic identification of new prospects

Assist with providing prospect development perspectives in decision making opportunities

Give team members a visual representation of their pipelines, and help move their prospects through the pipelines

Work closely with the Donor Database Manager and other Foundation team members in order to maintain and share current knowledge of data and database functions

Help develop, maintain, and update a dynamic list of policies, procedures, training manuals, and regulations related to the use of the prospect management system

Develop datamining strategies to support Foundation strategies

Develop and maintain queries in donor database to assist in data integrity initiatives, analyze and synthesize relevant information for appropriate distribution of prospect leads and provide support in prospect identification projects

Analyze and assess information from local, national, and international resources, financial and philanthropy reports

Evaluate research results to develop and implement further research strategies utilizing ethical intelligence-gathering techniques of the information profession

Develop strategies to ensure that newly identified prospects are presented and assigned to team members in a timely and competent manner.

Respond to inquiries from colleagues, including necessary research to resolve issues with research findings
WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED

Bachelor's Degree in Library science, Journalism, Data Analytics or similar field required; Master’s degree preferred

3 years’ experience in Prospect Research and Management required

Computer Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

Experience with DonorPerfect or other prospect screening and rating systems preferred
-
Demonstrated knowledge of philanthropy, fundraising processes, and prospect development initiatives including prospect identification techniques

Proficiency at identifying prospects through multiple
-
Ability to handle various special projects on an ongoing basis while addressing daily needs of the office and its divisions
