WHAT WE NEED

At Franciscan, this role is responsible for entering, processing, and receipting gifts, including employee payroll deductions, generating acknowledgement letters for donors, and helping to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the data in Franciscan Health Foundation’s centralized database.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Maintain gifts and pledges in a timely and accurate manner into the donor database

  • Uses knowledge of database procedures, IRS regulations, gift coding and reporting, and works with colleagues to secure complete and accurate gift information

  • Process online credit card donations and special event registrations

  • Post data to the general ledger and assist in reconciling accounts with the Accounting Team on a monthly basis

  • Process gift acknowledgements

  • Manage pledge payment tracking, acknowledgements, reminders, and follow-up processes

  • Prepare other types of donor correspondence including, written disclosure letters for gifts, year-end giving summary statements, pledge reminders, invoices, and thank you letters

  • Produce and send pledge reminders to divisional offices to be signed and mailed

  • Add, update, and correct constituent and gift records against gift documentation, returned mail, and other sources

  • Assist Prospect Researcher & Manager and Senior Vice President with data update/clean-up projects

  • Adds/updates items to the database such as new campaigns, funds, appeals, packages, events, tables, attributes, constituency codes, solicitation codes, proposals, and actions, as needed

WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED

  • Bachelor's Degree in Fundraising or similar field required

  • 3 years’ Donor database management, gift processing, and data entry within nonprofit fundraising or related field required

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products

  • Ability to handle and accurately process varying sums of money on a periodic basis, while adhering to processing deadlines

  • Good organizational skills required, with strict attention to details in all tasks

  • Ability to prioritize competing requests and deliver work to agreed deadlines

QUALIFICATIONS
Donor database management, gift processing, and data entry within nonprofit fundraising or related field; Bachelor’s Degree – Non-Profit Management, Healthcare, Fundraising & Development
