The Director of Leadership Gifts is a vital member of Friends Select’s Advancement team.  This position is responsible for developing strategies to increase operating support for the school through the Benefactors Society and Pennsylvania State tax credits, creating a pipeline of potential major donors, and increasing leadership gifts. The position involves some major gift fundraising and alumni relations activities.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    Identify and cultivate relationships with alumni, parents, parents of alumni, grandparents, and partner organizations who have the potential to make leadership gifts and leverage connections to benefit the school Manage all aspects of the Benefactors Society leadership giving program and develop a plan for significant growth over the next three years Manage peer solicitation software Plan Benefactors Society stewardship events and activities with support from the advancement events coordinator Manage a portfolio of prospects for identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship working in conjunction with the development team Manage all Education Improvement Tax Credits (EITC), Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credits (OSTC), and Pennsylvania State tax credit fundraising, develop a plan for significant growth over the next three years, and manage the relationship with the Central Pennsylvania Scholarship Fund Using constituent data, develop a pipeline of new potential major prospects for leadership giving, tax credit support, and major gifts Support the Alumni Relations Program as needed, including
      Manage the National Alumni Board (NAB) and its annual meeting, communications, and activities Coordinate two or more alumni reunions and reunion class gifts each year. Develop communication and programming strategy to educate, engage, and solicit young alumni/ae, starting with Friends Select's upper school students
    As part of the development team, provide tours to visiting alumni, identify speakers for academic divisions, events and look for ways to further engage the community Be an active participant in alumni, family, and donor programs and events Provide support for special projects as needed, including administrative tasks Some travel will be necessary 

The ideal candidate has the following:

    Fundraising experience Experience in building relationships and willingness to ask for gifts to the school Experience working towards aggressive goals with adherence to metrics and strategy plans Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Comfort and strong skills with technology including Google Docs, Sheets, Forms, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Blackbaud databases A commitment to social justice and anti-racism Bachelor’s degree
