with programs currently in Athens, Rome, and Atlanta, Georgia and

Location: Atlanta, Georgia (with frequent travel to ESP Headquarters in Athens, GA)
Schedule: 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.; Must be willing and able to work evenings and weekends as necessary

Minimum Qualifications: Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field. Minimum of 2 years of sales or fundraising experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Non-profit experience preferred. At least 5 years of professional experience related to sales, marketing, development, business administration, higher education, project management, or relationship management. Leadership annual gift fundraising in regional non-profit ($1,500 and higher).
Seeking a development professional who is ready to raise resources to support the expansion of ESP’s mission, enabling the organization to serve more families and realize our vision to become the nation’s leader in providing transformational experiences for people with disabilities.
The Leadership Annual Giving Officer is responsible for generating resources which allow ESP to fulfill its mission and provide services through Java Joy, 360 and Hooray. Based in Atlanta, Ga the Leadership Annual Giving Officer will create and implement strategies to raise annual gifts in the $1,500 - $15,000+ gift range, building deeper engagement with our established donor base while developing new community and personal relationships. ESP is seeking a team member that is passionate about developing relationships with new and returning donors at the leadership annual giving level and who is skilled at serving as an exemplary ambassador for the organization to a wide array of constituents. This position will report to the Director of Development & Marketing.

Manage a portfolio of 175-200 donors
and prospects focused on the $1,500 - $15,000+ gift range
Manage city leadership board while
creating and implementing leadership giving strategies
Coordinate ESP’s community and civic
engagement opportunities
Oversee special giving campaigns as
required
Develop key business relationships
for Java Joy
Detailed Functions, Responsibilities & Skills:

Identify, qualify, cultivate and
solicit leadership annual gift prospects
Manage a portfolio of 175-200 donors
with an expectation of scheduling 18-24 meetings per month
Implement administrative needs for
relationship management, including tracking and recording all donor
prospect interaction activity
Collaborate with the team to develop
effective strategies to solicit and steward leadership annual
gifts
Manage the city leadership board
called a “Champion Board”
Support the local Champion Board
leadership as needed through cultivation and engagement
opportunities within the city.
Implement programs to renew, retain
and grow leadership annual gifts
Sell Java Joy bookings to businesses
and organizations
Update and keep accurate donor
records as needed
Assist and prepare donor
proposals
Send gift acknowledgements and thank
you notes to donors as assigned
Develop gift progress reports for the
Development team and Board of Directors
Support Development team with other
campaign needs and duties as assigned
Identify and collaborate with
Marketing team on monthly Corporate Partner and Lifespan Giving
Circle donors’ feature stories/testimonials
Collaborate with Marketing team on
monthly Corporate Partner and Lifespan Giving Circle
e-newsletters/updates
Develop monthly engagement plan for
various community and civic organizations
Serve as ESP’s representative
throughout the community and designated events
Provide support and assistance to
enhance Salesforce content for accuracy and detail
Create and execute various special
giving campaigns as needed
Collaborate with leadership to
develop annual giving priorities and the associated collateral as
needed
Maintain a passion for fundraising
and relationship building
Exhibit knowledge and proficiency of
relevant fundraising principles and practices
Maintain a flexible work schedule,
including a willingness to travel and work evenings and weekends as
needed
Exhibit a creative approach to
relationship development, showcasing initiative and problem solving
