Paid Media Specialist


ASU Enterprise Partners, a private, nonprofit organization comprised of five subsidiaries that raise, create and invest resources for Arizona State University, is seeking a Paid Media Specialist to join the Outreach Hub team.


The Paid Media Specialist is a highly motivated and innovative person that will work on a large-scale outreach effort to potential learners interested in ASU’s online programs. Primary responsibilities include daily analysis of paid media campaign performance, providing optimization recommendations, and routine QA of campaign components such as ad copy and creative.  The Paid Media Specialist will have experience building and optimizing campaigns and monitoring performance in Google Ads (SEM, Display Network, YouTube), Bing Ads, Facebook, and Instagram, and have a passion for marketing data analytics.


The ASU Outreach Hub (OH) is a newly formed unit that specializes on top of the funnel outreach to prospective immersion students with the goal to generate quality brand perceptions and interest in ASU Online.  The team of experts at the OH leverages best-in-class data-driven marketing tools for their media strategy and execution, advanced audience segmentation, analytics, and optimization.




What you’ll do:


  • Stay informed on the ASU Online web ecosystem and existing paid media campaign structure
  • Utilize first-party reporting tools to glean insights for relevant stakeholders
  • Analyze paid media performance across ASU Online in collaboration with colleagues from EP, the HUB and EdPlus for relevant stakeholders
  • Provide optimization and testing ideas to increase conversion rate and lower CPA
  • QA monthly budget pacing to ensure platforms are on track
  • Work with the finance team to ensure invoices are paid and reconciled
  • Conducting in-depth keyword and web content research to achieve high Quality Scores.
  • Partner closely with external media agency counterparts + internal cross functional teams



What you’ll need:


  • Ability to use Google Analytics to understand multi-channel attribution, web behavior, and user experience. Experience in building reports in Google Data Studio is a plus
  • Experience using a variety of attribution models – last, first, assisted, linear, time decay, data driven etc.
  • Experience with analyzing materials and performing quality control
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), online workspaces (Google Drive), and video conference coordination (Zoom).
  • Evidence of ability to work collaboratively to translate written and verbal requests.
  • Ability to follow brand guidelines
  • Collaborative style, combined with the ability and desire to work in a team-based environment
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and responsibility regarding information related to Enterprise Partners, its subsidiaries and University business and confidential prospect information
  • Strong and collegial interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively in person, in writing, and by phone
  • Excellent listening skills with a strong ability to read people and adapt working style, communication, and responses accordingly
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Relevant qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND 3+ years of experience managing, monitoring, and optimizing paid media campaigns across multiple platforms including Google Ads, Bing Ads, Facebook Business Manager, and more.  Experience with Campaign Manager, Search Ads 360 and Display Video 360 is also a plus.

Working conditions:


Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse; required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work. Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds. Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities, which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts. May be required to perform tasks in the field within and/or across University campuses. Ability to clearly communicate verbally, read, write, see and hear to perform essential functions. This position may require some early mornings and evenings to accommodate meetings and events. This position currently requires you to work from the office Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays with Monday and Friday optional remote days.
