SENIOR PHILANTHROPY OFFICER ROLE

Reporting to the President & CEO, the Senior Philanthropy Officer will work with individual donors, businesses, and foundations to raise funds to support the Health First mission. The officer will qualify, cultivate, and steward a portfolio of donors and prospective donors. She or he will take a leading role in designing and managing annual development initiatives and special events to expand the foundation’s reach, donors, and giving base. The position works collaboratively with foundation leadership and communications in developing a comprehensive stewardship journey for donors utilizing the Virtuous responsive fundraising platform.

This hybrid position will require travel to foundation offices and areas in northern Arizona.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in fundraising, sales, business, marketing, or communications
  • Minimum four years of experience in fundraising or sales and marketing
  • Experience with face-to-face donor solicitation and fundraising techniques with an emphasis on customer relationship building
  • Proven success securing major gifts
  • Confident interpersonal skills and social intelligence
  • Experience with CRM or donor database systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Project management skills
  • Knowledge of northern Arizona and its people
  • Willing and able to travel to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individual donors
  • The ideal candidate is an independent, highly self-motivated, professional, and proactive fundraiser with the ability to work seamlessly as a committed member of the Health First team. He or she is energetic, creative, and a problem-solver; one who pays careful attention to accuracy, detail, and quality of work.
