About CSFP

Children’s Scholarship Fund Philadelphia is a privately funded program. The mission is to provide students from under-resourced Philadelphia families with financial access to quality, safe, K-8th grade tuition-based schools. CSFP currently grants four-year, need-based partial scholarships to qualified applicant families utilizing a random lottery process. CSFP scholarships allow these students the opportunity to gain a solid foundational education that is central to their future achievements. Since its founding, CSFP has awarded more than 30,000 scholarships and this school year the organization will serve more than 5,800 children attending 160+ area schools. CSFP’s successful impact on the scholarship recipients, backed up by significant metrics, is especially critical during this challenging time in education in the Philadelphia region.
