Position Summary:
Parent and Family Giving at Trinity plays an important role in
providing opportunities for parents and families to engage in the
life of the college. Reporting to the Director of Parent and Family
Giving, this position plays a critical role within the Office of
Parent and Family Giving. The Program Coordinator is responsible
for supporting and enhancing the work of the Director and the
Associate Director to accomplish fundraising goals. The Program
Coordinator will interact with the parent and family constituency,
both donors and volunteers, to achieve desired dollar and
participation goals and enhance engagement and giving. The Program
Coordinator will also assist with the management of the Senior
Parents Committee campaign.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Data and Analysis
- Analyze results of email solicitations, print appeals, text outreach, and social media to provide key metrics and guide future solicitation strategies.
- Maintain and enter data into PeopleSoft database.
- Provide support and expertise with the Cognos reporting system.
Appeals and Communications
- Assist with facilitation and execution of solicitation letters, electronic communications, and, social media.
- Communicate and coordinate with outside vendors, graphic designers, printers on appeals projects.
- Extract data and produce accurate constituency rosters for email and print solicitations; coordinate segmentation of appeals.
- Work in Encompass platform to create and execute email appeals and segmentation.
- Responsible for Parent and Family Giving website pages including appearance, content, and updates.
Parent and Family Constituency and Volunteers
- Assist with all aspects of managing Family Giving volunteers including volunteer recruitment, appeals, events, recognition of graduates, and Commencement activities.
- Generate internal and external volunteer related reports, and administer volunteer management system for peer to peer outreach.
Event and Meeting Management
- Support Parent and Family Giving meetings, trainings, and events, both virtual and in person.
- Assist the Director of Family Giving and the Associate Director with oversight of event management for Family Giving events including Move-In Luncheon, Parents Leadership Council programs and regional cultivation gatherings.
- Work alongside Advancement team in managing and executing a wide range of activities and solicitations and major college events such as Homecoming, Family Weekend, Commencement, and Reunion Weekend. Collaborate with various internal and external departments.
General/Office Management
- Track and enter Family Giving budget expenses; process and log expense reports, and oversee purchasing.
- Oversee general office management duties including ordering of supplies and tracking inventory.
- Cross-train with the Annual Giving Program Coordinator to support the efforts of the Office of Annual Giving as needed.
- Respond to alumni and parent inquiries made via the Trinity College Fund Gift line and/or email.
- Occasional evening and weekend hours required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred, and/or three to five years of administrative support experiences, preferably in a college or university setting, and/or a combination of education, training, and experiences providing the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in Advancement and across campus.
- Excellent organizational skills, with an aptitude for prioritizing multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Ability to set priorities, handle multiple complex tasks/projects concurrently and meet deadlines. Proactive problem solver.
- Strong attention to details. Excellent proofreading and writing skills, facility with numbers, and strong analytical skills. The ability to express thoughts and ideas clearly in writing and verbally.
- Demonstrated ability in event management including event and meeting planning, and developing and assembling event and meeting materials.
- A proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, donor database software, and query tools.
- Ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy; high integrity needed to handle confidential information.
- A demonstrated interest in fundraising/development work preferred.
- A demonstrated commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.
