Delaware County Community College (DCCC), located outside of the Philadelphia Metro area, is looking for a talented Manager of Individual Giving to join our team of higher education professionals who are committed to student success. The Manager of Individual Giving achieves annual revenue goals and manages all aspects of the annual giving programs, including solicitation of alumni, faculty, staff, retirees, and friends. The Manager of Individual Giving will develop and oversee the implementation of creatively executed programs aimed at increasing annual giving under $10,000 from all constituent groups, including alumni, faculty, staff, and retirees, with special emphasis on amplifying unrestricted giving (Annual Fund). Aligning these programs with “best practices,” the Manager will also review program results in comparison to industry data and trends, implementing adjustments to plans, as needed, to achieve revenue goals. The Manager will show curiosity, creativity, vision, flexibility, and the drive to exceed annual goals for donor acquisition, retention, and upgrades. The Manager of Individual Giving has external contact with donors, prospective donors, funders, volunteers, and institutional partners.

The successful candidate must be an engaging, effective, innovative, dynamic team member who is strategic and fosters collaboration. This individual will be able to demonstrate the use of best practice strategies associated with all aspect of Fundraising and Development. This individual will demonstrate a spirit of an independent problem-solver and a strong understanding of the College’s mission and goals.  The Manager will demonstrate solid judgement, exercising a high-level of confidentiality, integrity, discretion, and professionalism when dealing with sensitive fundraising, donor, and/or College information. The Manager will be a team-player, with the ability to work both independently and in collaboration with the Advancement team, with both an impeccable attention to detail and a strong sense of humor. The Manager will also have a demonstrated ability and commitment to encouraging, modeling, embracing, and incorporating diverse thoughts and perspectives of all individuals of various backgrounds, ideas, and perspectives to foster an all-inclusive environment and drive results.

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of five to seven (5-7) years of previous experience in development and proven success in managing annual giving programs; Experience using Raiser’s Edge or comparable software is strongly preferred. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Communications, English, Marketing, or other related field of study; or equivalent combination or education and related experience; master’s degree preferred. Association of Fundraising Professionals membership preferred. Certified Fundraising Executive certification or Advanced Certified Fundraising Executive certification a plus.
