Colorado Public Radio (CPR) is seeking a Director of Development Services.

About the Position:

The Director of Development Services ensures the business operations of our fundraising team. They will provide accurate gift processing, data hygiene, timely and relevant reporting, skilled analysis, and identify opportunities for revenue growth. The Director of Development Services will support our fundraising team and work with Development Department heads to establish  business rules, systems and best practices. They will also work with our Salesforce and operational teams to identify and implement improvements and solutions to our fundraising systems and outputs. 

This role is located from the Denver metro area and our new hire must be located in this area upon starting the role.

You’re a skilled collaborator, talented problem solver, and a clear and concise communicator. You have an inquisitive nature and are skilled at examining how systems impact big picture goals. You are able to lead change, improve processes, and work with a team of professionals, always maintaining the highest level of data integrity.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible management experience and a proven ability to provide leadership and direction to managers and supervisors. 
  • A minimum of 7 years of fundraising and development experience, including experience overseeing the preparation of and control of department annual budgets. 
  • A minimum of 3 years of systems management experience, understanding organizational systems and guiding staff through systems change management. 
  • Experience working cross-functionally with other departments to address fundraising challenges and implement changes. 
  • Proven analytical skills to uncover opportunities and greater efficiencies is required. This includes fundraising systems analysis and the ability to adapt and execute functional or departmental business plans in response to these analyses.  
  • Proven ability to plan strategically with a global vision that is in alignment with the goals of the Development Department and overall strategic goals of the organization is required.
  • Experience working in Salesforce or similar CRM and an in-depth understanding of donor data systems is required. Pardot experience is highly desirable.

Education Equivalency

  • If a candidate does not have a fully relevant Bachelor’s degree for this role, we would like to see at least 9 years of fundraising experience. Relatable bachelor’s degrees may include non-profit management, new media, information technology, systems management, information management, accounting or finance, or similar.
