The Director develops and executes opportunities for Lehigh Alumni to leverage their extensive alumni networks through nine professional alumni alliances, activity-based groups and engagement with faculty from Lehigh's five colleges. The Director will work closely with the Regional and Affinity Team to develop professional and entrepreneurial activities that expand and celebrate the vibrant Lehigh Alumni Network. 1. Develop, coordinate, implement and evaluate programs and projects to promote alumni engagement through Professional Alliances
*Develop and reimagine professional affinity programs based on alumni interest and University priorities, with heavy emphasis on creating innovative digital networks and leveraging technology such as webinars, livestreaming, crowdfunding and social media to motivate alumni, parents and friends around the globe
*Partner with Major Gift Officers to execute a systemic approach to cultivating and stewarding alumni, parents and friends through career-focused engagement
*Serve as the business lead for all regional and affinity based professional networking opportunities and events
*Forge relationships with University partners including the Directors in the Baker Institute, the Center for Creative Inquiry, the Center for Career and Professional Development, the Office of Sustainability, The Center for Gender Equity, etc. to develop shared goals and programs
*Work with the Associate Director of Digital Communities to increase usage and utility from Lehigh Connects and LinkedIn

2. Design Professional Alliance, college and faculty programs that align with fundraising and engagement goals
*Collaborate with Events, Communications and other team members as a business lead on events that support Presidential and campaign activities in various top-tier regions
*Develop a comprehensive annual strategy using the Dinners for 12 model to deepen connections with alumni, in lieu of traditional come-one, come-all programming
*Recruit event hosts and speakers via Major Gift Officers, to engage prospects and move them along the pipeline
*Direct coordinators to ensure proper coding of event attendees and alliance volunteers
*Manage attendee follow-up process
*Analyze data from events to make better business decisions in future planning

3. Supervise the 3-year contracted Associate Director of Graduate Alumni Engagement to develop and manage a program for engaging graduate alumni
*Utilize the programs and channels already established by DAR to attract greater numbers of graduate alumni to events and activities, both analog and digital, including MountainTalks
*Work with Deans and department heads to develop standard and streamlined processes for engaging graduate alumni through their relationships with faculty
*Conduct regular surveys and focus groups to better understand the relationships between graduate alums and Lehigh as an institution
*Partner with the Directors of Development to identify new methods of engaging graduate alumni in the lives of the colleges and to leverage current but underutilized methods

4. Develop a program for engaging Greek alumni
*Hire and train a student intern who works with Greek alumni and the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Affairs (OFSA)
*Utilize the programs and channels already established by Development and Alumni Relations (DAR) to create programming and activities for alumni interested in deepening their connections with fellow Greeks
*Build relationships with OFSA to coordinate outreach and planning
*Conduct regular surveys and focus groups to better understand the relationships between Greek alums and Lehigh as an institution
*Develop methods to support Greek alumni gathering on their own across the country, as well as those who gather during signature Lehigh campus events including Reunion and Lehigh Lafayette

5. Support other members of the Alumni Relations team and DAR colleagues and complete general office duties as expected
*Support programs housed within the Alumni Relations Team and others within DAR, to ensure successful outcomes
*Complete general office duties proactively in a timely manner including budget maintenance, timesheets, expense report reconciliation, calendar maintenance, etc.
*Provide customer service to internal and external constituents as requested and needed
*Proactively assist alumni and staff (both internal and external to Alumni Relations) and problem-solve; suggest or initiate changes and improvements to departmental processes or procedures
