How You Will Impact Our Mission:

As an integral member of the advancement team, the Director of Digital Fundraising will develop a comprehensive strategy to increase revenue through online channels, direct mail appeals, and oversee related database administration.  The director will work with the fundraising and communications teams, as well as outside vendors and consultants, to execute strategies that drive fundraising and engagement while enhancing user experience. The director will also stay abreast of digital fundraising trends and tools, as well as key performance indicators throughout the industry.  Through creativity, innovation, and data-driven decision-making, you will enhance the experience of our donors and engage them more deeply.

 What You Will Do:

  • Manage and execute all details of TPMS’ direct mail appeals (about 6 per year), including writing, segmenting, creating the direct response plan, running mailing lists, working with communications on layout and package design, and working with the printing vendor to review proofs
  • Lead strategy and execution of TPMS’ digital fundraising campaigns, to include email appeals and engagement, Short Message Service (SMS), and social media fundraising messaging
  • Contribute to revenue growth goals and set by the overall fundraising team plan
  • Create multi-channel communications for donors to ensure that interactions with TPMS are of the highest quality
  • Collaborate with Vice President on messaging and engagement to drive sustainer and mid-level growth.
  • Develop and execute strategies and customized donor-centric approaches that achieve high conversion, retention, and acquisition to move supporters through the donor journey
  • Collaborate with the Vice President for Advancement and communications team to create integrated messaging strategies for social media and onefamilyinmission.org to drive sustainer growth
  • Develop fundraising team plans/goals/Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) based on nonprofit industry standards and internal giving trends
  • Ensure TMPS remains current on best practices of digital fundraising by attending relevant conferences, workshops and webinars
  • Hire consultants, vendors or agencies on an as-needed basis. Negotiate contracts and manage all aspects of third-party relationships.
  • Assist with development and management of fundraising team campaigns, events, and communications calendars

Your Experiences and Strengths:

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree, and preferably Master’s degree, with at least 5+ years experience in leading online fundraising and donor engagement management.
  • You demonstrate an understanding of best practices related to digital fundraising, tools, processes and techniques for fundraising, donor development, list building, social media messaging, email marketing
  • You have facility with and strong understanding of Electronic Customer Relationship Management (eCRM) software
  • You have experience with Photoshop or other Adobe tools and a strong eye for layout design and details
  • You utilize Google Analytics, Google Ad Grant/Pay Per Click (PPC), and Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
  • You have a proven ability to organize/lead projects requiring integration of efforts across colleagues, diocesan entities, and external vendors/partners.
  • You are resourceful and enjoy learning on the go
  • Your excellent oral and written communication skills allow you to communicate effectively with different audiences
  • You are an approachable, collaborative, results-oriented problem-solver who can both provide and take direction well
