POSITION SUMMARY

Northwell Health Foundation seeks an experienced, enthusiastic and articulate frontline fundraiser to serve as Senior Major Gifts Officer focused on the Mather Hospital region.

This position reports to the Vice President of Development and Public Affairs/Community Relations and will work closely with the Executive Director of Mather Hospital, as well as the Regional Development Director for Northwell Health Foundation.

In addition to managing a portfolio of active and prospective donors, the Senior MGO will partner with leadership in the planning and development of programmatic directions and goals. Current fundraising areas of focus include Emergency Services, Surgical Services, Behavioral Health, and a Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiology Lab. This is an exciting opportunity to build and steward a robust prospect portfolio for a dynamic healthcare foundation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participates in the development of long- and short-term strategic plans in conjunction with leadership to build donor pipeline.
  • Identifies, qualifies, cultivates, manages, solicits and stewards active portfolio of donors and prospects with gift capabilities.
  • Collaborates with Major Gifts team, identifies and transitions donors.
  • Works in conjunction with internal and external teams, to identify and implement strategies for potential donors from annual fund programs, fundraising events and cold prospect lists.
  • Collaborates with leadership to develop and implement an inpatient/outpatient prospecting initiative, including direct mail and cold calls to potential donors.
  • Participates in stewardship and fundraising events.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience and 2+ years of leadership / management experience, required.
