Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Vice President (VP) of Resource Development is responsible for all fundraising and resource development activities. The successful candidate will have the expertise and experience necessary to drive the design and implementation of a multifaceted development strategy and stewardship operation.

The successful candidate will be a key leadership team member and an active participant in strategic decisions affecting the organization. The position will focus on the expansion and growth of the organization's existing philanthropic plan with a focus on forging new relationships to build Habitat NYC and Westchester’s visibility, impact, and financial resources.

The new leader will support and expand initiatives to further diversify the existing donor base/pipeline, as well as the growth of revenue sources in support of our expansion into Westchester County, New York, designing and implementing a comprehensive plan focused on the identification, cultivation, and stewardship of individual, corporate, foundation, and faith-based supporters. The position leads a productive, powerful, and cohesive team of dedicated fundraisers and is responsible for establishing and implementing the infrastructure needed to reach a $5M annual philanthropic goal. Sustained success will drive appropriate investment in additional capacity to support geographic growth.

Importantly, this position works closely with a complex governance structure of Boards (NYC Habitat, Westchester County Habitat, the regional entity, Habitat for Humanity NYC & Westchester County, and the Habitat NYC Community Fund (CDFI)) as well as the organization’s leadership groups (Real Estate Council, Habitat Young Professionals, and the Leadership Council) to raise funding through their personal wealth and circles of influence.
