CAWC seeks a collaborative Development executive who shares the agency’s commitment to saving and transforming lives. The Development Director is primarily responsible for supporting CAWC’s mission by ensuring the strength and sustainability of philanthropy at this pivotal point of growth and change in the organization’s lifecycle. The Development Director will partner with volunteer and staff leadership in establishing and implementing creative development strategies to ensure that CAWC’s mission, as well as its philanthropic long-term and short-term strategic goals and metrics are met.

 

Candidates who possess an optimistic outlook, a roll up their sleeves mentality and an energetic passion for eradicating domestic violence are encouraged to apply. Reporting to a powerhouse Executive Director, Stephanie Love-Patterson, and managing a team of three development professionals, the Development Director is an essential member of the agency’s senior leadership team responsible for ensuring a strong philanthropic pipeline necessary to deliver desired mission outcomes.

Some specific requirements include:

  • 5 years or more years of increasingly responsible Development roles, at least 2 years supervising fundraising professionals.
  • Demonstrated success with Major Gifts, with a track record of securing five-figure or greater gifts.
  • Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree.
  • Experience in managing a capital campaign with a goal of $10 million or more is desired.
  • Human Services Development experience is desired with a preference for candidates who have successfully raised funds to support anti-domestic violence missions.
