Job Description Summary
Wharton External Affairs engages alumni and friends in meaningful,
lifelong relationships with the School, sustaining and
strengthening a culture of giving that creates positive impact
among students and communities worldwide. Four distinct teams
within External Affairs - Operations, Development, Alumni
Relations, and Communications - work collaboratively across the
School and the University to secure philanthropic commitments that
empower teaching and learning, research, and dynamic programs that

Reporting to the Senior Associate Director of Class and Reunion
Giving for the Wharton Fund, the position of Associate Director is
responsible for the fundraising and engagement of Wharton School
graduate alumni in assigned alumni and reunion classes. The
Associate Director is a key member of the team raising unrestricted
dollars for the Wharton Fund and will contribute to achieving
Wharton Fund cash and participation goals annually. They must
possess a solid understanding of the importance of philanthropy and
engagement to the achievement of institutional goals. The
successful candidate will have the ability to infuse high energy,
enthusiasm, and motivation in volunteer fundraisers. Frequent
travel is expected to visit assigned alumni is essential to this
