The Alpha Kappa Alpha Educational Advancement Foundation, Inc.
is seeking to fill the position of Membership Coordinator. This
position reports directly to the Executive Director.
The Membership Coordinator will direct and maintain the
membership function of the foundation. Serve as the liaison
to the Membership Committee. Provide leadership support on member
related matters and services. Cultivate and maintain relationships
with Regional Coordinators. Update and maintain membership
databases. Supervise temporary employees.
Must have the ability to make independent decisions while
enforcing the Foundation’s Membership policies and procedures in a
fair and consistent manner. Ability to work collaboratively on
projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work
under pressure and at times manage a wide variety of activities and
confidential matters with discretion. Bachelor’s degree preferred
or equivalent work experience. Knowledge and proficiency in
Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and ability to use
membership/donation tracking software.
The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good
judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal
communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the
ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple

by securing charitable funds to award scholarships, fellowships,
