Provide leadership in inspiring, acquiring donors and engaging all Advan-\cement constituents -- alumni, donors, volunteers, and organizations -- through a variety of activities and communication channels.

Takes the lead in providing services for the donor and alumni engagement continuum. Develops innovative, cohesive, and aggressive programs of constituent engagement, acquisition, retention, and development resulting in a growing base of supporters and a dynamic and vibrant pipeline.


  1. Collaborates on insights and strategies to develop and implement marketing and branding strategies internally and externally.
  2. Generates charitable contributions through annual giving direct response marketing efforts reaching out to constituency of alumni, parents, arts patrons, friends, civic leaders, faculty, staff, and students.
  3. Develops and maintains all donor, alumni, volunteer recognition, stewardship programs, and activities that ensure satisfaction and donor retention.
  4. Builds a continuous learning and innovative Strives to intimately understand and improve the alumni and donor journey throughout the Division and the University.
  5. Develops audience targeting and segmentation strategies and oversees the implementation of appropriate tactics including but not limited to conducting audience research through surveys, interviews, focus groups and available data analysis.
  6. Implements tools and techniques to gain alumni and prospect insights in real-time and create feedback loops to continuously improve programs and results
  7. Develops and implements action oriented annual and strategic communications and marketing plans utilizing multiple channels including, but not limited to, periodic publications, direct mail, email, telemarketing, websites, and social media
  8. Develops programs and initiatives to engage key influences such as support foundations, Board of Visitors, Energy Advisory Board through event planning
  9. Designs programs to identify and strategically engage high income and high net worth individuals with the university and qualify them as major gift prospects and connect them with development officers, volunteers, academic and other university leaders


Serves as an internal consultant, collaborator, and leader with colleagues in University Advancement and other internal departments, colleges and units to develop and maintain a strong university brand that encourages and celebrates engagement as donors, engaged communicators, experiential participants or volunteers. Performs other job-related duties as required.




Masters and 7 year’s experience


Education: Requires application of advanced principles, techniques and theory in a professional discipline or a thorough general business management knowledge. Knowledge of this level is typically obtained through a directly job-related Master’s degree or equivalent formal training in a recognized field of specialization that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Experience: Requires a minimum of seven (7) years of directly job-related experience. Certification/Licensing: None.
