Title:                            Loyola Fund Manager

Status:                          12 Month, Full-Time Exempt

Department:                 Office of Advancement

Reporting To:               Chief Advancement Officer

Working Hours: 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. (Monday-Friday)

                                    and occasional nights and weekends as necessary

Comp Time:                 N/A

Loyola Blakefield, founded in 1852 in Baltimore, Maryland, is a Roman Catholic Jesuit independent school for boys in grades 6 – 12. Job Description:

Recently completing a successful capital campaign raising more than $32 million, it’s an exciting time to be part of the Loyola Blakefield community. The Loyola Fund Manager is a proactive, growth oriented, positive development professional who thrives in juggling client relations and day to day operations.  She/he partners with the Advancement Team in implementing a comprehensive giving program via the Loyola Fund while also growing support through leadership gifts and retaining benefactors through effective stewardship. The objective of this position is to retain, build, and grow relationships with our benefactors through a highly impactful giving and stewardship program while also contributing to leadership gifts through our Community Partners Program, Loyola Fund, and other campus-wide events.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage comprehensive giving program to help continue to strengthen the Loyola Fund which includes year-round engagement, formal recognition, leadership benefactor events, and stewardship touches.

 

  • Strengthen a giving and stewardship strategy for helping to market and grow President’s Club Leadership Giving Program ($1,500+ contributions to Loyola Fund) as well as the Young Alumni President’s Club Leadership Giving Program ($500+ contributions to the Loyola Fund).

 

  • Recruit and lead a highly effective sponsorship committee that secures unrestricted funding and stewards benefactors who support Loyola through our Blue & Gold Community Partners Program. As part of this committee, this position will also actively secure leadership gifts/sponsorships from benefactors.

 

 

  • This position will contribute to prospect research, cultivation, and portfolio management processes to help drive fundraising results.

 

  • This position will also lead stewardship efforts through writing quarterly newsletter for our benefactor community as well as lead an effective process for thanking, retaining, and growing benefactor support.

 

  • Contribute travel and prospect recommendations for the President and Chief Advancement Officer, and secure appointments as appropriate. Prepare briefing materials in advance of these visits and join on major gift visits as necessary.

 

  • Assist the Advancement Team with planning and implementing small, medium, and large-scale fundraising events as appropriate.

 

  • This position will demonstrate a high-level of proficiency in working with Raiser’s Edge.

 

  • This position will demonstrate a high-level of proficiency and creativity in writing and utilizing digital platforms for promoting the Loyola Fund.
  • This position will support events and initiatives sponsored by the Advancement Office.
  • This position will perform other duties as assigned in support of Loyola Blakefield’s development efforts.

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Two to four years of experience in fundraising, sales, or business development
  • Excellent skills in writing, public-speaking, and communications
  • Demonstration of tact, discretion, and good judgment in handling sensitive and confidential information and working with benefactors
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and implement small, medium, and large-scale events.
  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with using and maintaining database information, Raiser’s Edge preferred
  • Ability to work independently and to prioritize and execute multiple tasks and projects in a dynamic, deadline-oriented environment, working with multiple team members and volunteers simultaneously
  • Positive, energetic, creative, proactive, solution-oriented disposition is required
