Development Director, Regional Food Bank

The Development Director for FOOD For Lane County in Eugene, Oregon, collaborates with the Executive Director to set and fulfill fundraising strategies and goals for the agency, currently just over $5 million a year. This position is responsible for the strategic planning, direction, development, and leadership of the agency’s Development program in order to support the overall annual operations of the agency, representing a current budget of approximately $7 million. Key responsibilities include:

Primary responsibility for identification, cultivation and solicitation of donors and prospects for the agency utilizing direct mail, major gifts, planned giving, grants, events, corporate gifts, crowdfunding, volunteer development, and special projects. Manage portfolio of major donors and prospects. Cultivate and personally solicit major gifts in-person and in-writing.

• Development and maintenance of donor stewardship and gift administration
• Overall management of the Development budget, resources, and personnel
• Designs and oversees strategic use of FFLC’s constituent relationship management (CRM) system and related software to achieve marketing and fundraising goals
• Supervision and professional development of Development department staff
• Represent the Development Department in fundraising matters to the Board of Directors, Board Development Committee, and Budget & Finance Committee
• Collaborate with other directors as a member of the management team
