Organization: Chattahoochee National Park Conservancy
Title: Executive Director
Chattahoochee National Park Conservancy seeks a strategic, transformative leader as its first full time Executive Director to guide this extraordinary organization's vision and ensure its stewardship mission, programs, projects, and fundraising continue to grow and thrive sustainably.
Chattahoochee National Park Conservancy, Inc. (CNPC), a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, is the official friends group for the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area (CRNRA), a series of fifteen park units along 48 miles of the Chattahoochee River totaling 7000 acres of land in metro Atlanta. CNPC’s mission is to build awareness and a community of support for the CRNRA and promote stewardship of its natural and cultural resources. CNPC is led by a Board of Directors with expertise in non-profit management, development, financial accounting, law, environmental education, trail management, communications, paddle sports, and event planning.
The CNPC Board of Directors seeks its first full time Executive Director (ED) to drive the organization forward during this important time of growth. The ED will collaborate with an active and engaged Board to execute CNPC’s strategic plan and will be responsible for operations, including executing programs and projects, fundraising, developing and maintaining relations with Park staff, and supervising CNPC staff and volunteers.
The ED must be an inclusive, collaborative, strategic leader committed to CNPC’s mission with the skills and experience to develop CNPC as an industry leader who represents the community and park visitors. The ED will advance CNPC on a sustainable, rapid pace of growth to fulfill its mission to support the CRNRA. They will be the voice and face of the organization and breathe its purpose and potential every day.
Location The Executive Director will work from offices in the north metro Atlanta area. Periodic remote work is possible. Regular travel is expected, especially within the region and river corridor.
Compensation A competitive compensation package, including a benefits package, will be offered based on experience. The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $120,000–$140,000.
Start Date June 2023
