The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Marketing Analytics & Insights Specialist is part of the WWP Marketing Operations team, responsible for assembling qualitative and quantitative data to help inform campaign strategy. This role requires analytics experience, with the ability to produce meaningful KPI dashboards and deliver cross-channel reports with actionable insights. The ideal candidate will have experience in analyzing and interpreting complex marketing data, preparing presentations, and reports of findings and understand system integrations with various platforms. To excel in this role, you will have the ability to foster relationships with teammates across departments and be motivated to achieve positive results and identify opportunities for improvement.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, develop and maintain systems and processes required to accurately capture, aggregate, report, and analyze data for key audiences and marketing activities.
  • Evaluate statistical data and report on performance of key metrics, analyzing and interpreting trends and providing actionable insights.
  • Collect, synthesize, and translate information from various sources.
  • Have deep experience in organizing and tabulating data using database software, statistical tables, charts, and graphs.
  • Create presentations, reports and/or publications of findings and present to a variety of stakeholders including leadership.
  • Work collaboratively with Digital Media and Marketing Strategy teammates to define and implement measurement strategies that align with the campaign or company goals.
  • Coordinate and implement tracking into various marketing initiatives using Google Tag Manager.
  • Benchmark performance across all online channels and advise on KPIs based on performance analysis.
  • Analyze online user behavior, conversion data, customer journeys, funnel analysis and multi-channel attribution.
  • Identify opportunities to try innovative new methodologies and improve the analytical procedure.
  • Work with analytical software including but not limited to Google Adwords, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and more.
  • Help to define, develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Effectively execute multiple projects with dynamic priorities and timelines.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and query databases.

  • Excellent quantitative and qualitative skills with demonstrated ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, identify trends and issues, and diagnose root causes.

  • Experience using or administering email, marketing automation and reporting, and data visualization tools, e.g., Tableau, CliqView, PowerBI.

  • Strong analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to perform analyses on large and often incomplete datasets.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and generate reports or dashboards from Salesforce or Salesforce Marketing Cloud data.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively explain complex information and communicate with stakeholders, ask critical questions, and obtain pertinent information and details.

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills to effectively interact and communicate with diverse individuals. Demonstrated relationship-building skills to build effective working relationships and partner with cross-functional teams and external research partners.

  • Collaborative approach to problem solving.

EXPERIENCE

Requirements

  • Three-five years of experience in forecasting, strategic insights, business analytics, strategic forecasting, or a related field.

  • Five years of experience using Excel for data analyses, cleaning and analyzing data, generating reports, and using for data visualizations.

  • Five years of experience translating data into information for utilization by business partners.

  • One-three years of experience working with Salesforce, Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar customer relationship management (CRMs) system to generate reports and dashboards.

 

Preferences

  • One-three years of experience utilizing Google Analytics and providing relevant insights to key stakeholders.

  • One-three years of experience utilizing Google Tag Manager to implement tags and triggers across websites and digital campaigns

  • Two years of experience in Marketing reporting, understanding typical performance metrics to inform marketing strategy.

  • One year of experience using web content management system (CMS).

 

EDUCATION

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance, data analysis or related field. Equivalent combination of extensive education, experience, training, and certification may be considered in lieu of degree.
