Position Summary
This position is in the College of Arts & Sciences Foundation within the College of Arts & Sciences, the largest unit on campus. As a member of this valued team, the Associate Director of Development will be responsible for the identification, cultivation and solicitation of Arts & Sciences major gift prospects. This position will work collaboratively with the other associate directors of development and will report directly to one of the directors of development at the College of Arts & Sciences Foundation.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required (or foreign degree equivalent) with related experience. For positions with responsibility for direct solicitation of gifts and funds, a minimum of 1 year of professional-level, direct solicitation/fundraising experience is required.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and presentation skills and superior written and verbal communication skills required. Working knowledge of computer-related office tools and database management required.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Three or more years of development, sales, or related experience is preferred. Candidates with experience in a university or major college setting and with a successful track record in closing annual, major and planned gifts during a comprehensive campaign is also preferred.
