Executive Director - Development
LOCATION: Grand Rapids, MI.
DEPARTMENT: Office of Advancement
PAY: $88,000 - $100,000 per year
SUMMARY:
The Executive Director - Development will build and execute the strategy and annual plan to achieve the fundraising goals regarding major gifts within the Office of Advancement.
You Will:
- Drive the creation of the major gift strategy and annual
plan.
- Build relationships with individuals, alums, corporations,
foundations, and other key constituents to achieve Davenport
University's philanthropic priorities aligned with our mission and
vision.
- Collaborate internally to drive the formation of cases for
support, proposals, and stewardship materials.
- Serve on the Office of Advancement leadership team, influencing
overall strategy, planning, and execution in accomplishing short
and long-term goals.
- Manage a group of two to three team members focused on
advancing philanthropy to the DU Foundation.
- Minimum of seven years of successful fundraising-related
experience.
- Minimum of five years experience in major gift cultivation and
solicitation.
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication and
presentation skills, both written and oral, which transcend diverse
audiences.
- A comprehensive background in multiple facets of fundraising
including: capital campaigns, major and planned gifts, and special
