Dartmouth College seeks applications for an Associate Director of Global Philanthropy to secure and steward restricted and unrestricted gifts from assigned individuals believed capable of making $250,000 to $5+ million gifts in support of Dartmouth College's institutional priorities, and to work with the Executive Director and other staff to increase Dartmouth's visibility with international alumni, parents, and friends.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, a minimum of four years of developmental experience in a complex college or university development operation, demonstrated experience soliciting and closing six and seven-figure gifts and experience working with senior administrators, trustees and top volunteers; personal or professional experience working with people of diverse cultural backgrounds and a demonstrated commitment to intercultural sensitivity.  This position will require extensive international travel in developing countries.  An ability to speak a foreign language is preferred but not required. Strong organizational, marketing and negotiation skills is required combined with analytical and planning skills.
