Leading national fundraising agency,
Social Capital, is seeking a Strategist to support top-tier
national and global nonprofits with strategy, fundraising, cause
marketing and donor communications. The Strategist will support
senior and Chief Strategists on client engagements from developing
master integrated fundraising and marketing strategies, campaigns,
fundraising communication and stewardship materials to digital
strategy, storytelling and ongoing sales support while serving as a
day-to day contact for key clients.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct internal and external analysis to develop key findings and inform strategic recommendations for master integrated fundraising and marketing strategies
- Provide strategic guidance to maximize revenue across fundraising channels (mass, major individual gifts, foundations, and corporate)
- Develop cause marketing activations for key clients and their corporate partners
- Create partnership pitches and sales materials, in particular PowerPoint presentations, by working with clients, Social Capital writing and design team members to create a final product on designated timelines
- Draft the brief for fundraising collateral including sales sheets, toolkits and case statements, working in tandem with Social Capital writing and design staff to write and design fundraising collateral
- Work with client leads to produce messaging frameworks to ensure nonprofits drive towards impact, revenue and brand goals
- Draft partner communication plans to raise awareness of impact of holistic partnerships through omnichannel storytelling and digital activations.
- Support as needed on partner recognition best practices, pipeline development and follow up, and general donor research based on identified criteria
- Conduct client meetings via phone and in-person
- Manage the workflow of products and deliverables for clients
- Support Social Capital business development, preparing proposals for renewals and new client projects
- Support Social Capital marketing and conference efforts including preparing content and marketing related materials
- Perform other duties as assigned
Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3 to 5+ years experience in nonprofit fundraising or marketing/communications, with preference for experience in holistic corporate partnerships
- Experience developing campaign concepts and consumer activations
- Experience managing clients
- Experience in branding work a plus
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including a proven ability to work collaboratively with team members on deadline
- Strong verbal and communication skills, including writing and proofing abilities
- Proactive project management
- Creative thinking
- Fluency in Microsoft office, particularly with PowerPoint
- Ability to travel on occasion
