Johnson & Wales University was founded as a business school in 1914 in Providence, Rhode
Island, by Gertrude Johnson and Mary Wales. Over more than a century, JWU has evolved into
a private, nonprofit, accredited, comprehensive University that prepares its graduates to make

JWU seeks a Vice President of Advancement & Alumni Relations who will match the energy,
drive, and creative ingenuity of this university's students, faculty, staff, and alumni. The Vice
President serves as the chief fundraising officer and develops and implements short- and long-
term strategies to enhance university revenue. The Vice President provides strategic leadership
for the university's fundraising, alumni engagement and sponsorship, foundational grants, and
the annual fund. The Vice President builds strong, productive relationships with university,
industry, and community leaders as well as prospects, donors, volunteers, and university
alumni.

The next Vice President will have a significant amount of leadership experience in business
