The Development Manager spearheads Project:Camp’s fundraising efforts in coordination with the Executive Director and Board of Directors. This is a remote, part time (3-day per week) position. The Development Manager reports to the Executive Director.

ABOUT PROJECT:CAMP We pop up free day camps for children impacted by wildfires, hurricanes and other natural disasters. By caring for children we believe we’re providing respite for families, and by extension greater resiliency for communities. Before disasters strike, we also organize communities, gathering together the right organizations and people, so connections and plans are already in place when disaster strikes. Project:Camp is an all-remote organization headquartered in Los Angeles.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDES, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO): 
  • Develop and execute fundraising strategies along with the Executive Director

  • Develop and maintain relationships with foundations and corporations

  • Source, write and manage grants in collaboration with the Executive Director

  • Represent the organization in meetings with funders

  • Explore and develop new avenues of fundraising, including events, campaigns, and partnerships

  • Grow our base of individual and monthly donors

  • QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES
  • 3-5 Years of experience in nonprofit fundraising / development

  • Experience with presentations and public speaking

  • Strong writer and written communicator

  • High emotional intelligence

  • Experience with grant writing and grant management 

  • Good interpersonal skills including the ability to broker and maintain relationships

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • Meticulous note and record keeper

  • Preferred / Bonus:

  • Experience with customer relationship management software

  • Experience with fundraising events and campaigns geared towards individual donors

  • Experience with corporate partnerships / corporate social responsibility funding

  • Comfort with Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides)

    COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
  • This is a part-time, 3-day per week salaried position with a pay range of $40,000 - $50,000 per year, depending on experience and geography

  • This is a remote / work from home position, based anywhere in the United States

  • Project:Camp will provide a laptop and one-time work-from-home stipend

  • Unlimited vacation / sick days, but please coordinate with the team

  • Holidays: All federal holidays, Christmas to New Years, an extra day for Thanksgiving and your birthday
