applications for a Development Assistant! This position is embedded
in the College of Arts and Sciences, Graduate School and University
Libraries and operates as a crucial member of the team providing
administrative support in a hard-working, extremely collaborative
environment within the Advancement division.
This position will report to the Senior Director of Development and work on a broad array of administrative duties that are variable and complex in nature and is tasked with exercising a high level of discretion and confidentiality, especially as it relates to assigned responsibilities with donors, academic leaders, and other constituents. This role applies skills and knowledge in multiple administrative functions, but many responsibilities reflect a distinct Advancement component. We anticipate this position will support a hybrid format (remote and in-person work). What We Can Offer The salary range is $50,000 - $53,000 annually.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be Administrative Support
- Serve as a liaison between the Office of Advancement and various internal and external constituents for the Arts and Humanities Division, University Libraries, and the Center for African and African American Studies. Research and gather information on various topics as necessary and expedite the flow of information to staff.
- Route gift agreements and contracts via DocuSign and in partnership with CU System and campus collaborators.
- Prepare and submit expense reports; prepare purchase requisitions for various office needs.
- Use data from donor database to create requested reports, spreadsheets, and donor correspondence. Prepare and distribute various administrative materials
- Initiate, schedule and coordinate internal and external meetings for the Senior Director of Development and Arts and Humanities development team.
- Answer and direct phone calls; screen phone messages and distribute/follow-up as necessary.
- Assistance with special projects.
- Assist with donor-centered salon events aligned with divisional fundraising priorities.
- Conduct preliminary research on prospective donors and assist in identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors through research of available databases.
- Update donor database with notes, strategic plans, contact reports, and tasks to ensure the most current and relevant information is available.
- Receives and responds to donor/constituent inquiries.
- Process donor checks and gifts.
- Prepare comprehensive briefing reports to be used for cultivation and solicitation meetings.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.
- 1 year of professional job-related experience.
