The Finance Manager oversees the outsourced accounting functions to ensure the accurate and timely reporting of the Company's financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP). 

-Manage all accounting functions including, but not limited to accounts receivable (pledges), accounts payable, and payroll.

-Oversee accounts payable function including, but not limited to compliance with expense reporting and purchase order procedures.

-Develop, implement, and maintain internal financial processes and controls consistent with Company policies and regulatory guidelines.

-Forecast and manage a cash flow that meets the needs of the company. 

-Provide guidance to managers in financial reporting objectives and standards to ensure accurate, compliant, and useful financial reporting is produced. 

-Oversee the budgeting process and work with managers to produce and manage effective budgets. 

-Ensure that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhere to approved budgets.  

-In addition to finance duties, the Finance Manager acts as HR liaison in coordination with the CFO. The Foundation has outsourced HR functions to a third-party provider, and the finance team acts as a point of contact for HR functions within the company, including running payroll.

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor’s degree (B.S. or B.A.)

4+ years progressive experience in accounting and management of accounting functions 

A mix of non profit and private/public sector work experience

Strong familiarity with Quick Books

Ability to work collaboratively throughout the company 

Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage and own priorities and workflow

Experience/comfort in developing internal processes to streamline activities and the ability to work with a level of ambiguity

Commitment to excellence, including laser focus on accuracy, timeliness and relevance 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred:

Advanced degree or CPA licensure

Non profit experience strongly preferred
