REPORTS TO: Development Director

LOCATION: Boca Raton, Florida

PRIMARY FUNCTION: 

 

Identify and cultivate donors and implement targeted solicitation strategies designed to increase the donor base. Cultivate and steward donors through communications, outreach, and events.

Responsibilities

Primary: 

  • Assist the Director of Development in setting fundraising priorities and establishing financial goals. 
  • In consultation with the Director of Development, plan and engage in solicitation of mid-level and lower-dollar donors, cultivate lay persons and coordinate donor recognition activities. 
  • Organize educational and small-scale fundraising events. 
  • Coordinate event collateral and registration for large scale events. 
  • Cultivate and maintain community relationships and community outreach. May include research, strategy development and outreach in consultation with the Director of Development. 
  • Provide committee staff support; prepare agendas, minutes and follow up for meetings. 
  • Maintain appropriate prospect and donor records, mailing lists and fund records. 
  • Conduct development administrative work as needed, including reports, email creation and analytics and mailings. 
  • Contribute to regional management by participating in overall regional office administration. 

Secondary: 

  • Participate in special assignments or projects to assist the Regional Director of Development or a representative at the National level. 
  • Participate in development-related functions such as marketing, design/preparation of print materials based on individual skills, prospect research and office needs. 

  

Qualifications

Skills: 

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills including the ability to multi-task. 
  • The proven ability to solicit and close financial agreements with donors is essential. 
  • Good interpersonal skills and strong oral and written presentation skills are needed. 
  • Familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, and database management software is needed. 
  • A great sense of humor, strong work ethic, and desire to join a growing, dynamic team.   

 

Work Experience: 

  • Two to five years of community fundraising experience in a professional or volunteer environment or transferable experience  

 

Education: 

  • A Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience. 

Work Environment: 

  • ADL COVID-19 Protocol (updated periodically)ADL is adhering to public health guidance regarding COVID-19. ADL is a hybrid environment; this role may require 3 days in the office. 

Compensation: 

  • This position has a salary range of $43,000 to $62,875. This salary range is reflective of a position based in Boca, Florida. Please note that actual salaries are commensurate with experience and reflect the budget for a given position, and since ADL has a location-based compensation structure, there may be a different range for candidates in other locations.
