We are currently for an experienced professional with a sales and fundraising background to develop opportunities that lead to the sale of education sponsorships, products and services as well as philanthropic donations. You will be responsible for the close of these sponsorship sales while cultivating revenue opportunities that connect organizations with IEEE education programs.

 

To accomplish these goals, you will need to conduct analytical research; build qualified prospect lists; coordinate with the Educational Activities Marketing team to generate leads; work leads to generate sponsorships and offers; close sales. You will also work with various IEEE departments to solicit donations and generate revenue for educational activities.

 

Requirements:

 

* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Business, Communications, English or related field

* 2 – 4 years of experience in sponsorship sales, lead generation and fundraising

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with great phone etiquette

* Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills

* Proficiency in MS Office and Google Docs

* Knowledge of Salesforce.com a plus

* Ability to travel up to 20%

* Media sales and social media marketing experience preferred

* 2 – 4 years of experience in research and analytics desired
