We are currently seeking a person to fill the new and pivotal role of Director, Gold Corporate Council. The successful candidate will ideally have both corporate and not-for-profit healthcare experience to evolve our relationships through the Gold Corporate Council. The directorship is full-time, based in Gold Foundation corporate New-Jersey, and is hybrid in-person/virtual.

 

The Gold Foundation is a nonprofit organization with a wide and influential reach in the healthcare industry. Over our 30+ years, we have expanded from our roots in medical education to work with doctors and nurses, hospitals and health systems, academic medical centers, community health centers, nursing and other healthcare schools, associations, fellow nonprofits and foundations, and global healthcare corporations. We believe that it takes a great and collective effort to create change and ensure humanism in healthcare for all.

Our programs include the Gold Humanism Honor Society, with 180+ chapters and 45,000+ members; the iconic White Coat Ceremony and Nursing Oath Ceremony, which emphasizes the importance of humanism from the start of training; and many prestigious awards that reinforce humanism, such as the National Humanism in Medicine Medal and the joint Vilcek-Gold Award for Humanism in Healthcare. Background and description:

We are currently seeking a person to fill the new and pivotal role of Director, Gold Corporate Council. The successful candidate will ideally have both corporate and not-for-profit healthcare experience to evolve our relationships through the Gold Corporate Council. The directorship is full-time, based in Gold Foundation corporate New-Jersey, and is hybrid in-person/virtual.

 

The Gold Corporate Council was formed in 2017 to elevate humanism in healthcare and help advance the Gold Foundation’s mission. It represents some of the world’s foremost healthcare companies and a diversity of businesses within that industry.

Gold Corporate Council (GCC) members are exemplars in the healthcare space who have demonstrated a commitment to the values of humanism, and in joining the GCC, further commit to adopting humanistic policies and procedures within their own organizations and to partnering with the Gold Foundation to impact change across the broader community. Council members will also facilitate the expansion of humanism in healthcare deeper within their own organizations. We are looking to strategically expand the GCC to include additional partners, and to craft a uniform GCC presence – with GCC members connected on initiatives, beyond their individual company work. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the growth and development of best practice strategies that encourage humanistic healthcare practice with corporate partners.
  • Lead Outreach, Engagement, Communications, and Coordination with prospective and member corporations
    • Liaise with corporate leaders
    • Identify shared strategies and initiatives
    • Expand Gold’s footprint with new corporate partners via outreach to new organizations
    • Develop personal rapport with potential and actual partners to better understand needs and opportunities
    • Support quality of outreach and implementation success by developing and understanding corporate healthcare sector philosophies and standards of care
    • Collaborate with other Gold professional staff who work with corporate partners to outreach and engage with prospective GCC members
  • Develop, implement, and analyze surveys and other feedback mechanisms to track progress and obtain feedback
  • Develop materials and content to support Council meetings and deliverables, as well as outreach
  • Responsible for identifying, escalating and problem solving the day-to-day operational needs of the Council and its members
  • Support development and delivery of education to GCC members
  • Facilitate partner meetings and coordination of deliverables
  • Coordinate meetings & manage logistics
  • Act as liaison between Gold Foundation leadership and Council members and partner stakeholders
  • Other duties as identified and assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Business related degree preferred, advanced healthcare degree will be considered;
  • At least 7-10 years’ experience, healthcare sector preferred;
  • Strong balance of both strategy and marketing capabilities;
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills;
  • Strong communication and presentation skills;
  • Self-starter who works proactively
  • Ability to work in both a team-based environment and autonomously;
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills;
  • Competent with Microsoft Suite;
  • Some travel required

Salary:  Anticipated annual salary range for this new position is $80K-$100K commensurate with experience.
