The Chief Philanthropy and Advancement Officer (CPAO) at Please Touch Museum (PTM) leads and is accountable for setting and achieving the philanthropic goals of PTM and manages and is accountable for special projects and initiatives that advance PTM's mission.
Reporting directly to the President and CEO, the CPAO is a member of the executive leadership team at PTM. The CPAO collaborates with the Chief Growth Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Chief People and Culture Officer, in determining organizational strategy, implementing a framework for growth, assuring excellence in performance, and contributes to creating a culture of appreciation within the employee community. The CPAO is expected to appreciate PTM's commitment to community engagement and DEIBA and work proactively with PTM's management and board of trustees in these efforts.
The CPAO is responsible for determining the framework for philanthropy at PTM and setting philanthropic and institutional goals that support the advancement of PTM. As such, the CPAO is accountable to nurturing key existing donor relationships and developing new ones in alignment with those goals. Working closely with the Board of Trustees, the CPAO engages with trustees on creating a culture of philanthropy that underpins the cultivation and stewardship of a vibrant and diverse philanthropy platform.
The CPAO is responsible for recruiting and engaging a team of professionals with the training, education, skills and experience to successfully execute PTM's annual philanthropic plan and/or special projects and initiatives. The CPAO will be actively involved in board recruitment, development, and engagement, working closely with board leadership and management to support and assure the board’s stewardship of PTM’s mission.
