Northern Stage seeks a development professional to join the company’s Development team as Membership and Events Manager. This position manages the successful operation of a robust Director’s Circle and Producer’s Club membership and Annual Giving program (both unrestricted and restricted) including the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors of up to the $10,000 level, while also providing support to the Director of Development.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least three years of development experience, with a proven track record in managing a membership program and annual giving
  • Experience managing projects from inception to successful and timely completion
  • Knowledge of CRM database systems in a performing arts non-profit and proficiency in Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Forms)
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, including colleagues, Board and Committee members, and volunteers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills combined with individual initiative
  • Strong analytical and planning skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with appropriate discretion

Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the Director’s Circle and Producer’s Club Programs, including written and telephone correspondence and benefit fulfillment
  • Oversee the strategy, materials, and implementation for (bi-annual) annual appeal and donor memberships/renewals, including the management of the annual membership renewal process
  • Administer all Director’s Circle member benefits, including organizing and managing all member events and rehearsals in collaboration with the Development and Campaign Manager, Director of Production, and Artistic team
  • Manage and oversee all development events as they relate to donor qualification, cultivation, and stewardship
  • Build and maintain relationships with donors and prospects through outreach, attending events, benefit fulfillment, and ensuring an excellent donor experience
  • Increase awareness of the Director’s Circle and Producer’s Club membership Programs through coordinated marketing efforts
  • Serve as primary liaison between Development and Marketing for web content, including maintaining donor benefit listings, ensuring proper donor recognition, and verifying ticket purchase paths
  • Be proactive in suggesting ways to grow and improve the membership programs at Northern Stage
  • Support a higher-level strategy for creating a robust donor pipeline that supports future fundraising goals. Identify prospects who are ready to move to the next level of giving
  • Performs other duties as assigned
