UStrive is a nonprofit that democratizes access to social capital so that students with financial needcan achieve their college and career dreams. We do this by connectingstudentsto mentors through our virtual mentoring platformand through our I’m First! initiative, which includes partnerships with colleges and a guidebook to college for first-generation students that we distribute across the US.

The College Partnerships Coordinator/Director is a role within the I’m First! initiativeand would help us closepaid partnerships with colleges; expand paid distribution of the I’m First! Guide to College; and win grants from funding institutions.The ideal candidate will have experience both working for a college or university, preferably in admissions; student services; career services; or alumni affairs; andin developmentor sales. We recognize that there may be excellent candidates who do not have experience in both but have an interest in and aptitude for the activities required for this role. Responsibilities:

  • Work with other team members to create innovative strategies for communicating with colleges in ways that lead to paid partnerships
  • Implement outreach strategies, with an eye on quickly adapting based on college responses
  • Maintain detailed records of outreach and conversations with potential partners
  • Work with team to identify opportunities for grant funding and create grant proposals (depending on experience, may help write grants)
  • Contributing to the coordination of the I’m First! Guide to College, webinars, and other benefits provided to college partners
  • Other tasks as assigned

Minimum Experience

Preferred:

  • Experience both working for a college or university, preferably in admissions; student services; career services; or alumni affairs; and in development or sales.
  • Experience with CRM, such as Salesforce

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Coordinatorlevel: 3-5 yearsofworkexperience; Directorlevel: 5-7 yearsofwork experience
  • Strong writtenand verbalcommunication skills
  • Meticulous record-keeping of interactions with potential and current partners

Compensation:

This position is full-time and includes health insurance benefitsand a flexible, remote work schedule. Salary will start at $50,000for Coordinator level and $80,000 for Director level.
